Delete your account.

You can leave SquadUp anytime. Here's how to delete your account and your data, from the app or by email. It's permanent and GDPR compliant.

Method 1 · From the app

3 steps, 30 seconds.

The fastest way. You stay in control, without writing to us.

    Open settings

    In SquadUp, tap your avatar top right, then 'Settings'.

  2. 2

    Account → Delete account

    At the very bottom of the Account menu, you'll find the red 'Delete my account' button.

    Confirm with your password

    For your security, we ask for your password one last time. Confirm, and it's done.

Method 2 · By email

If you no longer have access to the app.

Lost phone, forgotten password? No worries, we handle it for you.

    Write to [email protected]

    From the email address linked to your account, with the subject: 'Account deletion'.

    We verify your identity

    We reply within 48 hours to confirm the request, making sure it's not someone else asking for deletion.

  3. 3

    Deletion effective within 30 days

    Upon confirmation, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR.

What happens when you delete your account

Deleted immediately

  • Your profile, photo, name
  • Your squads (if you're alone in them)
  • Your messages in chats
  • Your geolocation
  • Your settings and preferences

Temporarily kept

  • Transaction data (7 years, accounting obligation)
  • Security logs (90 days max)
  • Backups (purged within 30 days)

Important

  • Deletion is permanent and irreversible
  • Your squad history will be lost
  • If you organise an upcoming paid event, contact us first to handle refunds
